PHARMACOLOGY FOR THE OPERATIONAL EDGE

DRUGS FOR
EXTREME
CONDITIONS.

We develop medicines for exertional fatigue and tissue injury. Bemitil leads. Chlodantane is next. Dalargin opens a battlefield medicine program.

THE THESIS

Extreme environments expose
a gap in modern medicine.

Heat and sustained exertion compromise operational performance. Severe trauma triggers secondary tissue and organ injury. These are concrete drug-development problems.

Antaeus mines overlooked Russian pharmacology, uses AI to select the next experiment, and builds the evidence needed for modern development. Defense is the first partnership lane. Maritime and industrial work extend the use case.

PROGRAM PRIORITIES

ONE LEAD.
A SEQUENCED PIPELINE.

01
ATLAS / LEAD PROGRAM

Bemitil

Heat-associated exertional fatigue.
One endpoint: time to work limit at a fixed workload under controlled heat.

LEAD VALIDATION ↗
02
NEXT TARGET

Chlodantane

A distinct adamantane chemistry program.
Formulation, exposure and heat-stress performance define the next experiments.

FOLLOW-ON ↗
03
BATTLEFIELD MEDICINE

Dalargin

Target secondary tissue and organ injury after trauma. Translate hospital and preclinical evidence into a field-use product profile.

TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH ↗

Bemitil matches the heat-exertion endpoint and has a relevant human research lineage. Dalargin receives parallel diligence: its hospital signal must clear study-quality, opioid-safety and field-delivery gates before a lead change.

WHY THESE MOLECULES

THE SIGNAL
IS MEASURABLE.

Historical human studies and animal patent examples give us a starting point. Independent replication is the next value-creating milestone.

Evidence and original sources ↗

BEMITIL / MICE / 40°C

+50.5% running time

Calculated from 41.66 vs 27.69 minutes in the patent’s heat experiment.

Original patent ↗

CHLODANTANE FORMULATION / MICE / 40°C

+103.1% running time

56.23 vs 27.69 minutes. A formulation-specific result, with different doses across comparator groups.

Original patent ↗

DALARGIN / 104 TRAUMA PATIENTS

5.3% vs 21.2% ARDS

Dalargin group vs standard-care controls in a prospective hospital study. Mortality did not differ significantly.

BEMITIL / HUMAN RESEARCH

MORE THAN
A MOUSE SIGNAL.

Historical studies connect Bemitil to sustained operator performance, protective-clothing heat exposure and long voyages.

Full human-evidence review ↗

1988 / PLACEBO COMPARISON / 56-HOUR WORK

+10% tracking quality

The same abstract reports 1.8-fold fewer pursuit-tracking errors and 2.4-fold shorter visual-detection time. Task-specific historical results; sample size and detailed allocation are absent from the indexed abstract.

Bobkov & Epishkin / PMID 3066983 ↗

1997 / HUMAN HEAT + EXERTION

Work under protective equipment

Human research reports thermal tolerance and work-capacity effects for the drugs studied. Phenibut performed best. Related reports may overlap and do not supply a validated Bemitil percentage gain.

Makarov et al. / PMID 9162292 ↗

1991 / ORIGINAL VOYAGE PAPER

+13.7% static-effort endurance

Reported change in treated sailors within a 298-person comparison. Detailed testing: 20-person subset, allocation unspecified. The paper does not describe randomization or masking.

Novikov / PMID 1885014 ↗

2019 MONOGRAPH / 78 VOLUNTEERS / SIX-HOUR WORKLOAD

86.2% vs 68.1% of baseline

Dynamic-endurance retention in one Bemitil arm versus placebo. The book describes double blinding, with arm sizes and random allocation unspecified. This is a historical book report, not a new heat trial.

Original table, context and limits ↗

1988 / 130 PATIENTS

A clinical fatigue research lineage

An active-comparator study reported improvement in asthenic symptoms. Patient findings do not establish benefit in healthy workers.

Study design and clinical context ↗

WHY NOW

AN ACCESSIBLE ARCHIVE.
A MEASURABLE NEED.

01 / AI + ORIGINAL SOURCES

The archive can be tested

AI-assisted translation and structured extraction connect overlooked findings to chemical identity, methodological gaps and the next experiment. Prospective benchmarks will test the advantage.

02 / LATEST MILITARY DATA / 2025

518 heat-stroke cases

MSMR reports 2,233 additional heat-exhaustion cases in active-component service members. Heat-stroke incidence rose 6.9%; heat-exhaustion incidence fell 9.1%.

Official surveillance ↗
03 / PEPTIDE DEVELOPMENT

A precise regulatory context

FDA issued 17 revised draft generic-peptide guidances in July 2026. That update does not approve Dalargin or establish a shortcut for these programs.

Research and capital plan ↗

IP STARTING POSITION

Legacy molecules.
New development IP.

We start with publicly disclosed compounds. Antaeus does not claim the original molecules or a granted patent portfolio. Defensibility must come from new experimental data and patentable formulations, analogues or specific uses.

Our preliminary search did not identify an unexpired U.S. patent claiming the original molecules themselves. Specific U.S. use rights do exist for Dalargin. Claim-by-claim counsel review precedes candidate selection. U.S. search findings and scope ↗

DALARGIN / SAFETY BEFORE FIELD TRANSLATION

Opioid pharmacology
is a development gate.

Dalargin is a synthetic enkephalin analogue. Limited brain penetration of the unmodified peptide does not establish freedom from abuse potential. Delivery changes can alter CNS exposure.

Assess abuse liability, respiratory effects and hemodynamics for the actual candidate. Establish federal and state scheduling status. We do not claim a non-addictive, unrestricted or soldier-ready product. Study quality and safety requirements ↗

AI-DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT

THE NEXT EXPERIMENT
IS THE PRODUCT.

01 / RESEARCH

A source-linked foundation

Molekul connects compound identities, study findings and original documents. AI-assisted extraction turns that archive into testable questions.

02 / DESIGN

Rank the decisions

Prioritize formulations, analogues and experiments against exposure, effect size, safety and development cost. Benchmark predictions prospectively.

03 / VALIDATION

Measured feedback

Qualified laboratories test the hypotheses. The resulting data drive the next model update and the candidate decision.

The catalog is built. The proprietary experimental dataset and predictive-model advantage are development milestones.

FOUNDER / GREGORY BATTENFIELD

BUILT THE CATALOG.
WORKS THE USE CASE.

Gregory founded Antaeus and built Molekul.io, a research catalog spanning 90+ compounds and 400+ source records.

A finance professional with banking and commodity experience, now a merchant mariner, he brings commercial judgment and direct exposure to fatigue and sustained work at sea. His research and personal experiments shaped the company’s thesis.

Personal observations generate hypotheses. Controlled experiments establish the evidence.

90+COMPOUNDS IN THE RESEARCH CATALOG
400+RESEARCH SOURCE RECORDS

Recruiting a drug-development lead with IND experience and a computational partner. Scientific advisers and CRO relationships will be named as appointments are secured.
